This has got to be one of THE DUMBEST IDEAS I have ever heard. Jackie Chan cannot be Mr. Miyagi. There's no freaking way. He would totally F it all up. There is only one Mr. Miyagi and that is Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita, the ORIGINAL.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "the martial arts star is in negotiations to star in Columbia's remake of "The Karate Kid." He would take on the role of mentor Mr. Miyagi, made famous by Pat Morita in the original franchise."

Ew. I cannot stand Jackie Chan. He's a terrible actor and isn't very funny. I just don't think he has what it takes to be Mr. Miyagi. Really, I don't. So I hope this does NOT happen. I think it would be detrimental to the Karate Kid movies.
