So, the debate on the climate bill begins in the House today. This would be the first bill to limit greenhouse gases and start to move us away from our dependence on fossil fuels. Though the Republicans are calling this bill "the largest tax increase in American history." Hm. I think the overall health of the planet is something that should be of higher concern than a little money. Don't you?
Anyway, what are your thoughts on this historic bill? Do you think it will pass at some point? Experts are saying that regulating greenhouse gases here in the US is the only way to somewhat stop/possibly start to reverse the incredible damage it has done to our planet. And other countries who have not set such standards already may follow suit if we hurry up and take that action. This is a hotly debated topic and being that greenhouse gases really do a number on the Earth, something really does need to be done. So let's get a move on here people!
