A Detroit man is suing the city after a house he was fixing up was demolished along with other buildings when it wasn't supposed to be. Apparently the house had been taken off the demolition list, then reinstated without the owner's knowledge.
Roslonski, the home owner, put more than $30,000 into the property trying to fix it up, after initially buying it for $7,000. He said "I see all these boarded-up and burned-out houses. I'm trying to make the city a better place."
And make a few bucks in the process, of course. In the past, Roslonski fixed up another house on the same street and sold it for $85,000.
What a bummer that is... to have this happen... Roslonski said "I drove up and down the street three times - where is my house?"
I think I would FREAK OUT if my house went missing! OOPS!
