What? Really? Sorry, pilots make emergency landings all the time and it's not exactly full on book material. But the first book Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger is writing is his autobiography. You know, his childhood, military service, and whatever else was involved to make him a hero.
This guy was so modest and such a normal guy... I bet people bugged him and annoyed him until he agreed to write the book.
The autobiography is scheduled for release sometime later this year. As for the second book, they don't even know what it's going to be about yet. So who knows when that'll be showing up in your local bookstore.
Clemens, a spokesman for Sullenberger's family said "While he has agreed to write a book about his life and the dramatic events of January 15, 2009, he is eager to return to his profession and the US Airways familiy of 34,000 employees in the near future."
See? To me, that says he agreed to write a book to make everyone go away, but really, he just wants to get back to it and enjoy his life without people bugging him.
Will you read his book?
