Oh wait... NASA got money

So I just mentioned that NASA's new project would cost $600 million. Well, NASA's other projects are either WAY over projected budgets or running late. Isn't that something?

Auditors looked at NASA this week and found that on NINE PROJECTS NASA is almost $1.1 BILLION OVER cost estimates. The Government Accountability Office reviewed NASA's newer projects and found that most were over budget, late or both.

So, NASA got $1 billion from the new stimulus package. Did you know that? I didn't. Turns out that money is to be spent on climate-watching satellites... you know, LIKE THE ONE THAT CRASHED! WTF?! HELLO! Is this really what the stimulus money is going for? I'm pissed. They need to stop looking for other planets, unless they then plan to come up with enough money to move us all to one where the atmosphere isn't all fucked up. But they'd never have enough money to do that, and they don't even know HOW, in terms of truly LONG DISTANCE (like, really really really long distance) space travel and the effects on people and ships, etc.

I'm so annoyed I can't even stand it. Read more here if you're interested.
