So, the Sci Fi Channel is changing it's name to SyFy starting in June. Above is also their new logo.

Here's what network president Dave Howe said about the change on Friday:

"We love being sci-fi, and we're still embracing that. But we're more than just space and aliens and the future - three things most people think of when they think of 'sci fi'."

"What this does is hopefully give us the best of both worlds. You keep the heritage, but also open up to a broader range of content."

Uh. Ok. Sorry, I think this is dumb. But whatever.
