The drought in Texas is getting super gnarly. Cattle are dying left and right.
This past week, drought conditions have significantly worsened - 71% of the state is now in some stage of drought. This is not good. There's no grass (it's all dead) and the cattle just can't handle it. Some ranchers are using hay since there isn't any grass left, but nutrients in the hay are not as supple as in grass, and in many cases, the hay just isn't enough.
And, unfortunately, the outlook does not look good. There appears to be no rain headed for the parts of Texas that are dealing with the drought.
This is not good.
