Over $5 million has been thrown around in the who's who of the entertainment world. This means... who the hell is going to entertain me when I want to watch the inauguration celebration?! HBO is the winner with about $2.5 million... yeah, that's what HBO will paying to show Sunday's concert live. Ew. Don't care about Sunday. Sorry! Not to mention, I don't bother paying for HBO, so I can't watch it even if I wanted to. Seriously. Who bothers with that now that we can get their shows on Netflix a few months later. Honestly, since the annoyingly stupid end to The Sopranos, HBO has had NOTHING.
Anyway, amongst all the insanity of losses and Chapter 11s that the rest of the world is going through, networks are going nuts trying to get bits and pieces of the inauguration celebration. I get it. It's a first for us. But to be completely honest... for me, race is a non-issue, I don't care what color you are or where you came from. If your last name is not Bush and you have half a brain (crap, after Bush, I'll take 1/4 of a brain), I am ALL FOR IT! Black, white, yellow, freaking hot pink. Doesn't matter to me. So though I do realize this is huge, for me, it's more about the end of idiocy than anything else.
I voted for Obama. Stood in line for over an hour (I know, I'm lucky, some stood in line for 5 hours). I'm proud of who I voted for. I can't wait for him to take office. But what I really can't wait for... Bush to go the hell back to Texas where he freaking belongs. Lets put this country back together already!
Sorry... off topic. But it had to be said. Bush sucks. End of story.
And yes, networks are paying mad loot to get exclusive glimpses into this celebration, but I don't think it matters what network you watch or what piece of the pie they bought... fact is. Bush is out. Obama is in. And the horizon is getting brighter and brighter every second that goes by.
Adios Bushy. Check ya NEVER (I hope)!
